May has been a month full of joy, appreciation, and heartfelt celebrations here at Arbor Oaks Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Malvern, Arkansas! We had the pleasure of honoring three very special occasions: Nurses Week, Mother’s Day, and Nursing Home Week—each filled with love, laughter, and community spirit.
Our incredible nurses were the stars of the week, and rightly so! Their dedication and compassion are the heartbeat of Arbor Oaks, and we made sure they felt the love. Throughout the week, our nurses were showered with goodies and gratitude from our amazing community partners.
For Nurses Week, Southern Caregivers kicked off the celebration by treating our nurses to delicious donuts. Elite Hospice followed with a delightful coffee bar that kept everyone energized. Arkansas Hospice sweetened the week with beautifully decorated cupcakes. Elder Estate Protection of Arkansas fired up the grill and served mouthwatering burgers. North Main Church of Christ brought in a crowd favorite—Larry’s Pizza. And to top it all off, Monica Yarbrough from State Farm gifted our nurses with thoughtful goodie bags.
We celebrated the wonderful mothers in our community with a charming Mother’s Day Tea Party. The room was filled with smiles, laughter, and the clinking of teacups as we honored the women who have given so much love and care throughout their lives. It was a truly heartwarming event that reminded us of the strength and grace of motherhood.
Nursing Home Week was a blast! Each day brought something new and exciting for our residents and staff to enjoy. Arkansas Hospice returned to treat everyone to another cozy coffee bar experience. Elite Hospice and Southern Caregivers teamed up to serve refreshing ice cream, perfect for the warm spring days. Healthcare Services Group hosted a lively crawfish boil that brought everyone together for a flavorful feast. The Hot Spring County Farm Bureau fired up the grill for a classic cookout that had everyone smiling. And we wrapped up the week with a festive carnival day, complete with popcorn, hot dogs, and cotton candy that brought out the kid in all of us.
We are so grateful to our staff, residents, families, and community partners who made this month so special. Here’s to continuing to celebrate life, love, and togetherness at Arbor Oaks.
