Celebrating Awareness and Appreciation

October was a month filled with purpose, honor, and pink at Arbor Oaks Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. We had the opportunity to honor two incredibly important causes: Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Healthcare Foodservice Workers Week, and our team truly made it memorable.

During the week of October 5th, we celebrated our dedicated foodservice team during Healthcare Foodservice Workers Week. These hardworking individuals play a vital role in the daily lives of our residents, ensuring nutritious meals are served with care and compassion. To show our appreciation, we treated them to a delicious lunch (not prepared by them for a change!), along with sweet treats and thoughtful gift baskets. It was a small gesture to say a big “thank you” for everything they do. Their commitment and kindness nourish more than just bodies; they nourish hearts.

In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Arbor Oaks proudly participated in the first-ever Paint the Town Contest, hosted by the Health Hot Springs County Coalition. This initiative aimed to raise awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early detection through regular self-exams. We’re thrilled that Arbor Oaks won first place in the contest! Our facility was beautifully decorated in pink, thanks to the creativity and enthusiasm of our staff and residents. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped us decorate, spread awareness, and show our community spirit.

Together, we are making a difference, one pink ribbon at a time.
